1.The agreement
By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. The agreement is between you and:
2.The service
TradeProtocol is an online trading journal with analytics, account tracking, gamification and, on some plans, an AI mentor. We keep improving the service, which means features can be added, changed or removed. Features marked "coming soon" or "in development" are not yet part of what you pay for.
3.No financial advice
TradeProtocol does not provide investment, financial, tax or trading advice, and is not a broker or licensed financial adviser.
- Statistics, projections such as the Monte Carlo simulation, performance leaks and achievements are based only on the data you enter. They describe the past and are estimates, not predictions or guarantees.
- The AI mentor is an automated system. Its answers can be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as one input for your own reflection, never as a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything.
- Trading financial instruments, including futures, CFDs and forex, involves a high risk of losing money. You alone decide on and are responsible for your trades.
4.Prop firms and brokers
TradeProtocol is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any prop firm, broker or trading platform. Names such as FTMO, Topstep, Apex or Tradovate are trademarks of their respective owners and are only used to describe which accounts you can track.
Targets, drawdown limits and rules you track in the app are set by you. Always check your firm's own rules and dashboard: they decide whether you pass or breach an account, not TradeProtocol.
5.Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Give a valid email address and keep your password secret. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- One account is for one person. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
6.Plans and payment
- Free is free of charge, with the limits shown on the pricing page.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in euros, through our payment provider Stripe. The price you see before you pay is the price you pay; VAT is included or added as shown at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically every month until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Plan & billing; you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Free.
- When you switch between paid plans, the difference for the rest of the current period is charged or credited straight away.
- If a payment fails and isn't fixed, your account moves to the Free plan. Your journal data stays.
- We may change prices for the future. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.
7.Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a new paid subscription within 14 days of starting it, without giving a reason, by emailing tradeprotocol@outlook.com.
By starting a paid plan you ask us to give you access straight away, during that 14-day period. If you then withdraw, we refund what you paid minus a proportional amount for the days you already had access.
8.Your data
Your journal belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you, including sending it to our AI provider when you use the AI mentor. See the privacy policy for details. You're responsible for what you upload, and you may only upload content you have the right to use.
9.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- try to access other users' data or break the security of the service;
- overload the service, scrape it or use it in an automated way we haven't allowed;
- use the AI mentor to produce illegal or harmful content;
- resell or share access to a paid plan.
10.Availability
We do our best to keep TradeProtocol available and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. Maintenance and outages at our providers can cause interruptions.
11.Liability
- We are not liable for trading losses or for decisions you make based on the service, its statistics or the AI mentor.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage occurred.
- These limits don't apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, and they don't take away any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
12.Ending the agreement
You can stop using TradeProtocol at any time. You can delete your account yourself under Settings → Danger zone, or ask us to do it by emailing tradeprotocol@outlook.com. Deleting your account also cancels any paid subscription straight away. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where possible we'll warn you first.
13.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
14.Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country. Questions or complaints? Email tradeprotocol@outlook.com and we'll do our best to help.
